I was bad in math, kind of bad in reading. I did some of this book and it’s great, but the reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because in the ‘Math’ section, the formulas aren’t that good and not just that, and some things are not include. But the biggest flaw is when they say what time is it in another place and they don’t give a map to tell you! You have to look on the Internet for fricken’ 2 hours to find all that!

But a good book, get it if you’re struggling in math, and/or science, and/or language arts, and/or science, and/or social studies, and/or other stuff.

I bought this book to help me study for the Praxis exam. While I found all the information helpful, it was very general. Social studies section was great. Science could have given an answer guide when labeling parts of the flower but overall, science was great too. As far as the time zones, I agree with the first review in that they needed to include a map. Overall, I would recommend purchasing it if you have a sixth grader and want to review.

HOWEVER, if you are relying on this book to teach a child and you are not skilled in the area of math, I want to warn you that there are several errors in the math section. And I do mean SEVERAL!!! Some answers have more than one answer and you may mark the child wrong. Also, the calculations for fractions were horrible. It showed step by step how to calculate the answer and then all of a sudden, there was a typographical error and the original fraction changed. This book should have been proofread by a math major!!! If you are using it to study for an exam and at one point in time but “forgot”, you will figure out the errors and keep going. However, it bothered me that this book had so many errors in math and was able to out there.
