This has been a big help to the children that I tutor. The third graders have anxiety problems with reading sections and comprehension answers. The selections are short enough not to be too intimidating. Good job! I have the math tests too and they work well for my math students.

This book has been very helpful allowing my intervention students in 3rd and 4th grades get used to the testing format. It has taken a lot of their fear of the tests away.

I have been using these tests to prepare for the state test. Most of the tests are a little easy for my high kids, however they work great for my on-grade level and at-risk kids.

Good reading cannot be achieved overnight. Young kids need to learn and read extensively to build their skills. Taking practice tests is an effective way, because they are questioned and results are clearly measured. Without feedback, you don’t know where you are or what you need. This book provides tests on phonics, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and even reading graphs. My child used it for assessment as well as for learning. Very good contents. The book is short though; my child finished it in 3 weeks. For further practice, I found Beestar (www.beestar.org) very helpful, too. My child’s reading skills are improved quickly with such test drills.
